Find Out Summer Flowers

The ideal time for planting the seeds for many easy growing summer flowers in late spring. Since the soil is warm, germination becomes a reality. Some of the popular summer flowers are Zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, petunias, bachelor buttons, balsam, alyssum, marigolds, vinca, poertuluca and lobelia.

Sunlight for at least six hours each day is needed for the summer flowers to grow profusely. So the afternoon shade would be right. This is part of the soil preparation process. Get some compost, some rotten manure and some fertilizer and mix them according to the instructions for use mentioned in the package and then turn over the soil again with this mixture. Plant the tallest in front and the shortest right in front. This would help the taller plants to lean against the wall and would never be inclined to put the smaller plants in the shadow.

The middle heights follow this circle and then the smaller plants on the outer ring. To make it look like a meadow, plant several colors at once or use coordinated colors. Choose two contrasting shades like red and blue. Use various shades of blue and sprinkle a bit of bright yellow here and there.

This gives you some extra seeds since a lot is taken away by birds and bugs. As directed, cover your seeds and put a layer of mulch on top. Wait till they are dry. Your seeds have sprouted. The perfect distance which should be kept between the flowers is shorter flowers 6 inches apart and medium around 12 inches, with taller ones about 18 inches.

Can you imagine the more you pluck them, the more they blossom and this is the most wonderful part about summer flowers. To seed, is the main purpose of a flower, if you look at it from the perspective of the plant. When you pluck the flowers, the plant continues to bloom. The plant would bloom a second time, except it would not be as flashy as the first bloom, though beautiful.
